“I used to nod along in conversations, but now I can finally hear everything clearly”

For years, Gayle managed her hearing loss by quietly nodding along, missing out on the full experience of conversations. After meeting Audiologist Carol Crowther at Brenna Sincock Hearing, she realised just how much she’d been missing.

“I honestly thought hearing aids would be awkward and uncomfortable, but they’re not.” Now, with her new hearing aids, Gayle can fully engage again, hearing everything from voices in noisy cafés to the details of daily life. She even laughs about finally keeping her TV at a volume that can’t be heard outside.

“Hearing aids complete your life because you’re hearing properly again, like you used to when you were younger.” Reconnected to the world around her, Gayle is grateful to finally hear clearly and encourages others to consider the difference hearing aids could make.

“Melanie provided exceptional care and cutting-edge hearing aids that transformed my experience with tinnitus and hearing loss”

As someone with lifelong tinnitus and genetic hearing loss, I was initially reluctant to wear hearing aids. In the UK, the NHS fitted me with a discreet pair during my teenage years, revealing a world of sounds I hadn’t known I was missing. However, technology moves fast, and when I tried one of the latest models, it was a game changer – with Bluetooth and volume control via my phone, clearer speech, and comfort even at a loud gig.

I was nervous about my diagnostic assessment since the process was new to me, but Melanie put me at ease. If you’re experiencing hearing loss or tinnitus, I’d highly recommend booking an appointment with Melanie.

"Everyone should hear the birds like this"

My husband was nagging me that I couldn’t hear him. He felt that I was missing out on so much, that finally made me head for a hearing test. Best thing I ever did.

My husband is a pilot and had done his aviation medical audiogram with Scott and really liked his manner, knowledge and professionalism, so once I had realised I needed to seek expert hearing advice, it was an easy choice.

After about 10mins in the sound booth, my audiogram results showed that I would benefit greatly from wearing hearing aids. Options were discussed with me and once I had made a decision, digital hearing aids were produced on the spot. I went away a little bewildered, hearing everything with crystal clarity.

I recall saying before I had decided to have a hearing test, - I can hear the bird song, so what am I missing? Yes I could hear the birds but not like I can now with hearing aids. They are amazing and so crystal clear. Everyone should hear the birds like this.
