Carol Crowther
MAud, MNZAS, BSc, RGON
Born and bred in Christchurch, I initially trained as a Registered Nurse, working in Christchurch, the UK, Whakatane, and Dunedin. Later, I pursued my passion for Audiology, earning a Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Canterbury in 2013. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from UC, completed prior to beginning the Audiology programme.
I have three children – Alice, Jed, and Tilly. Tilly has lived with significant hearing loss since childhood, which inspired my journey into the field of Audiology.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and supporting community food security initiatives. Music is another passion of mine; I play the trombone and serve as Principal Trombone for both the Canterbury Philharmonia and the Christchurch Doctors’ Orchestra.
